Coaching for New Bowlers
New Members are offered FREE bowls coaching at the start of the season (May / June).
This includes the basics of bowling and provides advice on equipment and clothing that as a bowler you will require.
COACHING DATES FOR YOUR DIARY 2019 – Mondays at 6pm

Date Description
29th APRIL Refresher for newer bowlers, mat jack, stance, draw bowling
For more experienced bowlers – reading the head, playing a heavy wood
6th MAY Bank holiday – we will do marking skills for anyone who wishes to join in with these sessions
13th MAY Drawing to the ditch, and off set jack, bowls etiquette
Reading the head, playing a heavy wood
20th MAY Some skills sessions using various aids
27th MAY Bank holiday – we will do marking skills for anyone who wishes to join in with these sessions
3rd JUNE A game of rinks to encourage team work, understanding the different positions of play.
This is open for all abilities and we encourage the more experienced bowlers to take part and help the less experienced
10th JUNE As above
17th JUNE A fun skills session for everyone
